COLOURED PENCIL IMAGE PACKS

HOW TO USE THESE IMAGES

There are 22 image packs below - each containing 4 files (a reference photo, a gridded reference photo, a final piece of artwork and a line drawing).

Start with an image that is appealing to you and either download the files to your computer or save them to your tablet or phone (instructions at the bottom of this page if you need them).

The line drawing can be printed and then traced down or copied straight from your screen (it's much easier to copy a simple line drawing than a complex photo!). If you do want to print out the line drawing for tracing, it's often easier to drag the image file into a blank Word document and resize it as you like.

If you don't want to trace, use the gridded reference photo. There's no need to print this out - just count the number of full boxes across and down and draw the same number on your paper (the size of boxes ins't important as long as you make them square and they can fit on your paper).

Use a combination of the reference photo and the final artwork to help you render your drawing.
